The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program from the U.S. Department of State that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad.
The Gilman Scholarship Program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding and who want to apply for a credit-bearing international program or virtual program of at least three weeks.
At Lehigh, the Study Abroad Office, the Office of Financial Aid and the Office of Fellowship Advising work together to help students apply to the program. We have had more than 30 Lehigh students receive Gilman Scholarships in the last few years.
