The health and safety of our students, faculty and staff is Lehigh University's top priority. We have several policies and procedures in place to assess and manage risk.

International Medical, Security and Travel Assistance

International SOS (ISOS) administers the Lehigh University International Services and Insurance Program. ISOS is the world's largest medical and security assistance company, with more than 6,500 professionals in 24-hour Assistance Centers, international clinics, and remote-site medical facilities worldwide.

The program covers Lehigh faculty, staff and students who participate in university-sponsored programs or traveling on university-sponsored business outside of the United States. Benefits include:

  • Medical services like referrals to medical and dental providers who speak English, access to ISOS clinics, medical expense guarantee and payment, claims assistance, emergency evacuation and more.
  • Security services including security updates and information, assistance and advice by telephone and access to security evacuation.
  • Travel services such as legal referrals, translations and interpreters, and lost document advice.

In addition, ISOS coordinates Lehigh’s medical and travel insurance programs, covered by Cigna Global and Lloyd’s.
