Carrie Duncan

Program Director
(610) 758-6886

Dr. Carrie Duncan is a trained archaeologist, who developed her love of experiential global education while excavating Roman ruins buried in the sands of the eastern Mediterranean. Her fascination with the ancient world and its material culture led to graduate degrees in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University and in Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After several years on the faculty at the University of Missouri teaching classes in ancient religion and taking students on study abroad trips to excavate in Jordan, Dr. Duncan relocated to the Lehigh Valley and joined Lehigh University’s Office of International Affairs as a Program Director at the Iacocca Institute. As part of Global Lehigh, she designs and delivers immersive programming in entrepreneurship and global leadership for high school, collegiate, and early-career professional participants, both on Lehigh’s campus and beyond.
