International Week 2018 - Diwali | Global Union

Presented by the India Club, South Asian Student Association, and the Global Union

Diwali, translated to English meaning "the festival of lights", is the most important and well-known festival in Hinduism. Our main event is a skit performed by both South Asian Student Association and India Club members focusing on the different backgrounds and cultures of both Indian and American students, and how they are working hard to achieve their goals despite any difficulties they may face along the way. Diwali event will also feature singing, dancing, Indian music, food, and more!

International Week 2018 - Latin Carnival | Global Union

Presented by Latin Student Association, Black Student Union, and Engineers without Borders, the Global Union, and the Dean of Students Office

The Latin Carnival is an experience that educates the entire Lehigh body about Latin American culture, food, music, dance, and traditions through guest performances, games, and food stands. The guest performances will last approximately 30 minutes each and will include a mariachi band and a salsa dance instructor. There will be a monopoly game with monopoly properties from locations throughout all Latin american countries that students can play throughout the night. There will be food stands throughout the room providing guests with free food representing various Latin countries.

International Week 2018 - F.U.S.I.O.N. (Fostering Unity Staged In One Night) | Global Union

Presented by Latin Student Association, Black Student Union, and Engineers without Borders, and the Global Union

Fusion, also known as Fostering Unity Staged In One Night, is a multi-cultural event hosted by Asian Cultural Society and Black Students Union. Various dance teams of different cultural backgrounds are invited to perform a dance.

Lehigh in Shanghai Info Session Summer 2019 | Study Abroad

Interested in studying abroad and engaging in an internship this summer? Then attend this information session to learn more about the Lehigh in Shanghai study abroad program led by Professor Yao. This program focuses on learning about Chinese culture and business protocol in a Chinese company. Students have the opportunity to take 6 credits, 3 of which consist of an internship experience. While at internship placements, students will be working in various types of environments in Shanghai, including multinationals, joint ventures, state-owned companies, foreign-owned companies, hospitals, NGOs, schools, or government offices.

Jordan Iacocca Internship Program Information Session | International Affairs

Learn about your opportunity to come to Jordan, do some hands-on archaeological work, contribute to sustainable tourism development, gain internship experience, and have the summer of a lifetime.

This is an information session for students interested in the Iacocca International Internship Program, where one opportunity is to intern with a cultural heritage management startup in Jordan. This opportunity will be run by Prof. Allison Mickel, who will present at this information session about what the internship will entail, what experiences and challenges you can look forward to, and how to create a strong application for the program. She will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Unearthing Viking Remains with Lehigh in Scotland: Info Session | Study Abroad

Interested in studying abroad in Scotland? Then attend this information session to learn more about the faculty led program, Lehigh in Scotland! During this program, students will meet in Edinburgh, Scotland for a week, touring Viking sites and museums in the city, before venturing out to the Hebrides Islands off the western coast of Scotland. In addition, Professor Wesson has been working with some professors and students from the University of Cardiff in Wales on past projects and will be joining up with that professor and those students to help on this summer's dig!

Lehigh in Italy (Vicenza) Info Session | Study Abroad

Want to study abroad in Italy this summer? Then attend this info session to hear more about the faculty-led study abroad program, Lehigh in Italy, led by Professor Viscardi. This program offers the opportunity to earn 6 credits (The Architecture of Carlo Scarpa- HU and Architectural Drawing- HU) during 4 weeks of study in "The Veneto" region of Italy. The program will explore the regional characteristics of The Veneto cities of Padua, Venice, Vicenza, and Verona with an architectural focus on the work of the 20th century Venetian architect, Carlo Scarpa.

Dortmund University Info Session | Study Abroad

Are you a STEM student looking for something to do this summer? Then attend an information session hosted by representatives from Dortmund University in Germany. They will be discussing several summer opportunities that their university offers. Opportunities include:

RISE: Research Internships in Science and Engineering: A summer research internship that matches students with Ph.D. student mentors according to their area of interest. Monthly stipend provided.

Ruhr Fellowship: This is a two month summer program where students take part in an intensive language and culture program and participate in a four week internship.

International Summer Program (ISP): This summer internship offers two tracks for students, including an engineering track that includes courses in German and a German and European Studies track.

Lehigh in Prague Summer 2019 Info Session | Study Abroad

Want to earn 6 credits studying abroad in Prague this summer (May 23 - June 22, 2019)? Then come to the information session to learn more about this faculty led program, directed by Professor Jim Hall. Students will take CSB 314: International Practicum and have the option to choose between 4 other courses within the business school (economics, management, computer science, accounting).
