Lehigh in Shanghai Information Session | Study Abroad

Interested in studying abroad and engaging in an internship this summer? Then attend this information session to learn more about the Lehigh in Shanghai study abroad program led by Professor Yao. This program focuses on learning about Chinese culture and business protocol in a Chinese company. Students have the opportunity to take 6 credits, 3 of which consist of an internship experience. While at internship placements, students will be working in various types of environments in Shanghai, including multinationals, joint ventures, state-owned companies, foreign-owned companies, hospitals, NGOs, schools, or government offices.

Lehigh in Belgium Information Session | Study Abroad

Earn 6 credits studying abroad for 4 weeks (May 16, 2020 to June 12, 2020) in Leuven, Belgium, the center of Belgium, on this faculty led summer program. Professor Jim Maskulka, Lehigh Department of Marketing, has designed courses to take advantage of Belgium’s unique and pivotal role in the political, economic, and cultural development of modern Europe. In addition, the proximity to Brussels, the capital of an expanding European Union, enables students to experience first-hand insights from members of the European Parliament as well as the rich artistic offerings of a major international city. Students will be able choose 2 courses from the following: Global Marketing, Special Topics in European Marketing, or Global Marketing Internship (if you are a marketing major).

Lehigh in Prague Information Session | Study Abroad

Want to earn 6 credits studying abroad in Prague this summer (May 21 - June 20, 2020)? Then come to the information session to learn more about this faculty led program, directed by Professor Jim Hall. Students will take CSB 314: International Practicum and have the option to choose between 4 other courses within the business school (economics, management, computer science, accounting).

Lehigh in Costa Rica Information Session | Study Abroad

Would you like to spend 3 weeks in Costa Rica earning 3 Lehigh credits next winter break? If so, come to the information session where Professors Morris and Weisman will share information about the experience and courses. You can choose one of two course options: EES 042: The Natural History of Costa Rica (3 cr. Natural Science) or SDEV 122: Sustainable Development – The Costa Rican Experience (3 cr. Social Science). There are no pre-requisites - students from all majors and years are welcome to apply!

ServeAbroad Antigua Information Session | Study Abroad

Looking for something to do this summer? Consider volunteering abroad in Antigua! Attend this information session to learn more about ServeAbroad Antigua, a 9 day service trip to the beautiful islands of Antigua and Barbuda. Past service projects include painting under resourced schools, assisting teachers in a school for children with disabilities, and working on a Rotary community project. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the islands! (Note: ServeAbroad Antigua is non-credit bearing.)

Engineers Made in Germany (EMIG) Info Session | Study Abroad

Are you an engineering student and want to study abroad? Then come to this info session to learn about Engineers Made in Germany (EMIG) Summer School, a Lehigh partner program offered by Pforzheim University. The EMIG Summer School combines high quality education and a wide cultural program with various company visits and excursions to places in Germany and Europe. As a place closely connected to the history of cars and today's automotive industry, there are many prominent automotive plants and component suppliers located near the very same route which Bertha Benz took during her pioneering car drive from Mannheim to Pforzheim. Through this study abroad program, you can earn 9 credits in six weeks.

Lehigh in Munich Information Session

Learn more about the Lehigh in Munich faculty led study abroad program where you can earn 3 credits studying abroad in Munich, Germany during Winter Break (January 3-12, 2020). This program is led by Professor Nikolov and will explore the history, culture, and architecture of Munich, a capital and center of the southern state of Germany, Bavaria. Case studies and field trips will offer the opportunity to study and experience built examples of sustainable design on a theoretical and applied level. Integral to the program will be presentations by external experts, site visits, on-site discussions, and independent projects. The students will learn about different building technologies, techniques and materials. Due to the unique location of this session, the students will experience alternative models of urban planning and mixed-use developments as well as various forms of public space, private and public transport, and sustainable planning and design in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Any Lehigh student can apply!

Lehigh in Paris Information Session

Take your Humanities and Social Sciences Electives Abroad next Summer!

Do you want to study abroad in Paris this summer? Then come to this info session where Professor John Savage will discuss the faculty led Lehigh in Paris program. Lehigh in Paris is an exciting summer study abroad program devoted to discovering the history and culture of the city of Paris. During the month of July, students live together in Paris and participate in excursions and outings four days per week. Classes take place around the city as students discover famous monuments, museums and neighborhoods while studying their origins and significance. The program offers six Lehigh Humanities credits, though students can opt to take up to eight credits if they wish. The program is open to all students, regardless of major. No French language or European history background is required.

CIEE Passport Caravan | Study Abroad

The CIEE Passport Caravan is a one-day, on-campus event sponsored by Lehigh University and the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) as part of the Generation Study Abroad initiative. The goal of the initiative is to make study abroad possible for more U.S. students by breaking down the three major barriers to study abroad: cost, curriculum, and culture.
