Innovation and Global Impact helps you develop an entrepreneurial mindset by tackling real-world challenges and designing creative, evidence-based solutions. By using the resources in this module, you will learn how to analyze complex problems, adapt ideas for different cultural and economic contexts, and explore how innovation can lead to meaningful impact—through ventures, initiatives, or applied projects.
Innovation and global awareness are key differentiators in today’s job market. Employers value candidates who can think creatively, understand context, and move ideas from concept to action. This module supports you in building those skills while gaining hands-on experience with innovation and entrepreneurship during your time at Lehigh.
By completing this module, you will be able to:
- Identify and analyze a real-world problem or challenge, applying knowledge and skills from your field of study to clearly define why the issue matters and how it might be addressed.
- Conduct a cross-cultural feasibility analysis for a proposed solution, identifying cultural, economic, or regulatory factors and adapting your design to meet the needs of a local or international market.
- Gain experience with innovation and venture-related activities, such as working on startup ideas, social impact initiatives, innovation projects, or entrepreneurial programs that allow you to test, refine, and communicate the impact of your ideas.
Together, these experiences help you build the confidence, creativity, and global perspective needed to help you turn experience gained at Lehigh into clear, employer-ready proof of your professional growth.
