Annika is originally from northwestern Minnesota, known as one of the flattest landscapes in the whole world. She moved east for college and holds a B.A. from Vassar College in Chinese & International Studies. Annika’s love for all things international began when her family lived in Tromsø, Norway for her mother’s Fulbright year. When they returned, she continued learning Norwegian by attending Concordia Language Villages, a consortium of language immersion summer camps in northern Minnesota. Annika began studying Mandarin Chinese in high school, and loved it so much that she decided to make it her college major. She was able to study abroad in Qingdao, China in summer 2019, which she credits as one of the hardest but most rewarding experiences of her life. Though she doesn’t get as much practice speaking anymore, she dreams of one day becoming fluent in Mandarin. Outside of work, Annika loves to read, go shopping, and spend time outdoors. Annika plays cello in the Lehigh University Philharmonic and frequents workout classes at Taylor Gym. If you see her, please say hello!
