Teresa Parejo-Navajas, PhD, is General Director, Industrial Strategy & Small and Medium Enterprises for the Spanish Ministry of Industry & Tourism where she is responsible for designing and implementing the government policy on industry and tourism. Teresa was previously Head of Sustainability with IBERIA Airlines, a role she held after an extensive academic career as an Associate Professor of Law at Carlos III University (Madrid, Spain). She holds an LLM in EU Law and is a member of the Pascual Madoz Institute of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and Environment, in Spain, and a member of the Board of Governors of ICEL (International Council of Environmental Law). She has published two books, one of them awarded in the year 2004, as well as numerous articles and book chapters on the environmental and spatial planning fields in Spanish and international journals, and was a visiting Scholar in various European and US Universities, such as Università di Bologna (Italy), Oxford University (UK), Fordham University (US), Columbia University (US), and PACE University (US). She collaborated with the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law (Columbia University), and the SDSN, New York, during the time she lived in New York.
