Scott Koerwer is an experienced, entrepreneurial leader in higher education, health education, and business.

Scott was appointed as the 6th director of the Iacocca Institute at Lehigh University in September of 2023. Previously he served as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at The Wright Center for Community Health and Graduate Medical Education, the Vice President for Strategy and Planning at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine where he was also the founding dean of the graduate school, Vice Dean for Graduate Education and Professor of Organizational Systems and Innovation. He served as the 21st President of Newberry College; Deputy Dean and Clinical Professor of Management at The Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina; Associate Dean of Professional (graduate, MBA & executive) Programs & Services at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland; and as a Director in the Executive Education Division of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Scott has a bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College; he earned a master’s degree in government from Lehigh University, a Doctor of Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Thomas Jefferson University. A lifelong learner, Scott has completed and taught in multiple executive education programs during his career. He is an alumnus of programs including the Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management’s Advanced Executive Program (AEP), the Harvard University Institute for Education Management (IEM), the Population Health Academy at Thomas Jefferson University School of Population Health and the Academy for Innovation Leadership at Arizona State University and Georgetown.

Scott's areas of expertise include organizational strategy, planning and implementation, entrepreneurial programs & partnerships, leadership development, and executive education. He has worked with world-class organizations, executives, faculty, staff, and students to develop and implement partnerships and programs around the world in Africa, Asia, Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and the United States.
