Nur-e Rahman Freedman is the Principal and Founder of Kerning Strategies. Nur-e leverages 20+ years of expertise in strategic communications, change management, and brand design to help business leaders across tech build trust in their product and deliver value to their users. 

Prior to founding Kerning Strategies, Nur-e spent nearly a decade at Alphabet/Google as head of brand and communications for Google Trust & Safety, head of change communications for Alphabet’s multi-year finance transformation, and subsequently led GTM launch strategy for Google Maps and Workspace at Google Cloud. She spent over ten years in a variety of strategic communications and marketing roles at Bottomline Technologies, Sungard Availability Services, Booz Allen Hamilton, Detica DFI, and the United Nations. 

Nur-e holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and Journalism from Lehigh University and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University. She has completed courses of study at Oxford University, Georgetown McDonough School of Business, and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Nur-e is a breast cancer survivor whose passion for storytelling is matched only by her love of adventure and travel. Her most beloved travel companions are her husband and two stepsons with whom she shares a home in San Jose, California.
