Bernhard Ries

Bernhard Ries is a seasoned technology executive with over 30 years of experience across software engineering, product and brand marketing, business development, and corporate strategy. His notable achievements include leading Intel’s Corporate Strategy Office and the renowned “Intel Inside® Program,” collaborating closely with leading PC OEMs on joint marketing initiatives.


Bernhard’s expertise lies at the intersection of strategy, communications, and organizational development. His leadership roles across Europe, North America, and South America have equipped him with a profound understanding of diverse business environments and cultural settings. He firmly believes that sustainable business performance is rooted in a sound strategy, robust people development, and effective leadership.
Throughout his career, Bernhard has demonstrated his leadership in various roles. At Intel Corporation, he served as an Executive Coach and Corporate Strategy Officer, where he led strategic initiatives, facilitated corporate strategy discussions, and drove significant shifts in the company's transformation. His earlier roles included Senior Director of Corporate Market Intelligence and various marketing leadership positions, where he achieved significant growth and strategic impact.


Bernhard is a founding partner of PBJ Coaching & Consulting, focusing on enhancing organizational capability in strategic acumen, leadership development, and communications. His work has impacted numerous leaders and organizations, providing strategy and executive coaching services.


Prior to Intel, Bernhard managed e-Publishing and e-Commerce business services at Siemens Business Services, achieving substantial revenue growth, and developed programming tools for supercomputers at Intel GmbH.
Bernhard holds an MSc degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He is an ICF accredited and Hudson Certified Coach, a certified Birkman Assessment interpreter, and a Team Diagnostic Survey Practitioner. As a member of Intel’s Executive Coaching team, he received the 2022 ICF PRISM award for coaching excellence.
