Six Lehigh University students spent the summer in Germany through the DAAD:Rise program and the Ruhr Fellowship.

This summer, six Lehigh University students spent the summer in various parts of Germany, interning and conducting research through two prestigious fellowships - the DAAD:Rise program and the Ruhr Fellowship.

These Lehigh students have been sending news throughout the summer about what they are up to overseas.  As they begin heading back to South Mountain for the 2025-26 school year, their last few postcards from their summer in Germany are still trickling in.

Below is our latest postcard from rising junior Akanksha Gavande '26, an IBE student earning dual degrees in Industrial & Systems Engineering and Finance. She spent the summer at Technische Universität (TU) Dortmund in Germany.
