Internationally-Focused Internship — Spring 2026

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is seeking a motivated, curious, and self-directed undergraduate student to serve as a semester-long, credit-bearing research intern. This role is ideal for a student interested in international affairs, global issues in higher education, and the strategy behind Lehigh University’s global engagement.

The intern will support research projects that help Lehigh better understand and strengthen its global footprint. Responsibilities may include:

  • Investigating the history and influence of Lehigh’s international alumni, including figures such as Lee Iacocca.

  • Mapping Lehigh’s global ties to startup and innovation ecosystems across the Lehigh Valley and Pennsylvania.

  • Exploring connections between the Lehigh Valley and key international regions central to Lehigh’s strategic priorities, including India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

The successful candidate will be comfortable conducting independent research, synthesizing information from multiple sources, and communicating insights clearly. The position requires intellectual curiosity, initiative, and an interest in contributing to how Lehigh advances its global strategy.

This is an unpaid internship for up to 3 academic credits, requiring approximately 8–10 hours per week during the semester. Interested students should submit a brief statement of interest and a résumé to cam716@lehigh.edu.

Students seeking a meaningful and substantive role in shaping Lehigh’s global vision will find this internship both rigorous and rewarding.
