NIKITA CHAUDHARI
Nikita Chaudhari ‘24G, has a passion for data science and computer engineering, and she was determined to immerse herself in these fields at Lehigh University. She earned her Master’s in Computer Science in May 2024.
Originally from Nandurbar, a small district in Maharashtra, India, Chaudhari chose Lehigh for its flexible curriculum, rigorous academic environment, and strong reputation in her areas of interest. Unable to get her visa in time to enroll at Lehigh, she was admitted to the California State University, San Bernardino, but was so determined to attend Lehigh that she transferred there after just one semester in California after deferring admission.
At Lehigh, Chaudhari’s coursework included a particular focus on ethics in data science, reflecting her commitment to the responsible use of technology. A highlight of her Lehigh experience was her participation in the Lehigh@NasdaqCenter entrepreneurial program, where she worked for six months as a data analyst at the startup Auto Ninjas. This role not only provided valuable skills and real-world experience, but also helped inform her future career goals.
Chaudhari was actively involved in the India Club at Lehigh, which provided networking opportunities and a sense of community, underscoring her dedication to building connections and contributing to the Lehigh campus. After graduation, Chaudhari sought opportunities in the fields of data analysis and data engineering, leveraging the practical experience and insights she gained during her studies. She would also like the opportunity to improve educational resources and technology availability in her hometown in India, based upon what she learned at Lehigh about the power of educational resources and technology to make a positive impact in local communities and beyond.
