Recruiting Participants for the 33rd Annual International Bazaar

Recruitment for participants in this year's 33rd Annual International Bazaar is underway. The Bazaar will take place on Sunday, April 24 from 1:00-4:00pm on the UC Front Lawn (rain location: Grace Hall). The Bazaar Board is recruiting participants to showcase their native clothing in the Fashion Show, perform, or host a table. Participants may be individuals or part of a campus organization.

9-10 am - presentation by senior ILO officials;
10am - 12pm - group research on case study;
12 pm - 1 pm - group presentations and feedback from ILO officials;

Custodians of our Common Home: The Voices of Women Countering Climate Disaster

Hear the voices and learn from women and girls who are leaders in their communities, institutions, and local NGOs. Listen as they share their experience of living with the effects of climate change, including the work they are doing for disaster relief, prevention and mitigation. We will also be joined by female leaders in environmental science and ecological spirituality.


Custodians of our Common Home: The Voices of Women Countering Climate Disaster

The Honorable Susan Wild, U.S. Representative serving Pennsylvania’s 7th congressional district, which includes Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton. Rep. Wild serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.Ann Domorad, the senior managing director, field operations and programs at American Councils for International Education. American Councils began in 1974 as an exchange program between scholars from the United States and the former Soviet Union. Its educational portfolio has grown to include 90 countries.The Rev. Richard Jendras, the priest of Saint Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Allentown.Mariia Shuvalova, a literary scholar based in Ukraine and co-founder of the NGO New Ukrainian Academic Community. Ms. Shuvalova is a lecturer at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and previously visited Columbia University (New York) as a Fulbright scholar.The forum will be moderated by Lloyd Steffen, professor of religion studies and university chaplain. This event is sponsored by the Office of International Affairs and the Global Union.
