Assistant Professor
- Engage with UN agencies (e.g., WHO, UNICEF, and OCHA), as well as humanitarian partners (e.g., Doctors Without Borders, Red Cross, and faith-based networks), to address famine, displacement, and healthcare collapse in Sudan, one of the world’s largest but most underrepresented humanitarian crises. My goal is to amplify the voices of Sudanese communities (in Sudan and abroad) in UN conversations. This could be through organizing side events or contributing to UN meetings/events.
- Develop a policy-oriented research brief and UN-affiliated presentation highlighting the health impacts of conflict, particularly for women, children, and displaced populations.
- Create teaching modules and case studies connecting global health crises, humanitarian response, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to enhance student learning and global policy engagement.
