Mickey Matthews is a global citizen and executive having traveled the world personally and professionally and having held international leadership roles in Stanton Chase for the last 20+ years.

Mickey is a past Global Chair of Stanton Chase which is a Top 10 global executive search and leadership advisory firm with 76 Offices in 45 Countries. As Chair from 2014-2020 when he termed out Stanton Chase saw explosive growth in revenues and global key clients and more importantly international referrals, joint work and collaborations all exploded under his tenure.

Previously Mickey was Vice Chair, Practice Groups, which position also placed him on the Global Board for Stanton Chase. Concurrently to his role as Vice Chairman, Practice Groups he was the Global Industrial Practice Leader, the largest practice in the firm after having served as Vice President, North America and Global Director of Marketing previously.

In his current role as Global Chair, Governance Committee he has oversight for all corporate governance, documentation, voting and Board of Director elections. He is also a Director and Officer of the Baltimore/Washington office which is annually in the top 3 in the firm worldwide.

From a client perspective Mickey’s experience at Stanton Chase has been generalist in scope, with a focus in working cross-functionally for global clients in the industrial, consumer and professional services industries primarily whether a large F250 MNC’s or a growth equity backed PE platform and everything in between. Operating typically at the C-Suite and Board level cross functionally Mickey’s clients have included companies such as Deloitte, DuPont, Johnson Controls, Kohler, ITT, Novartis, Pandora, RHI Magnesita, Swarovski and others.

An All Ivy League lacrosse player at Brown University, he achieved All-American Honors and captained the team his senior year in 1985. Mickey received a B.A. degree in Business and Economics, with distinction, from Brown University. He also graduated Beta Sigma Gamma from the Fellows Executive MBA program, Loyola College, Maryland.
