Lisa Getzler

A seasoned entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience at Lehigh, Lisa Getzler has a proven track record of success in founding many of the university's signature programs. Her expertise in design thinking has been instrumental in shaping the university's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

As vice provost, she provides strategic oversight and leadership for the Office of Entrepreneurship, a hub for the many centers, programs, and initiatives that empower learners and founders from all backgrounds to thrive.

Lisa champions a culture of innovation, providing students, alumni, and faculty with the knowledge, skills, networks, and mindsets needed to frame problems, define opportunities, and build scalable companies. 

Her assessment tools for the Integrated Product Development Capstone Program recognized as best practices, have been adopted nationwide and garnered National Science Foundation funding. This work has also earned recognition from ABET, the accrediting agency for applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology programs.

Lisa's leadership has helped to bring about transformative initiatives, including the establishment of the Eureka! program, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity & Innovation, LehighSiliconValley, the Master’s Degree in Technical Leadership, the Lehigh@NasdaqCenter, and the Lehigh Ventures Lab.

Her dedication to entrepreneurship has been recognized through awards like the Lehigh Valley Business Women of Influence and Lehigh University's Hillman Award. Lisa's commitment to fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial community at Lehigh continues to inspire and empower future generations of innovators.
