The International Friendship Family Program matches incoming international undergraduate students with local Lehigh University families.

The program was founded on the conviction that we should learn from each other. The program provides cultural experiences for Lehigh’s community members and gives international students a taste of the American lifestyle. The ultimate goal is to make the Lehigh community a home away from home for international students.

Information for First Year Undergraduate Students

Are you looking for an opportunity to experience the American way of living outside the campus? If yes, please consider joining the International Friendship Family program organized by OISS at Lehigh University. The IFF program matches you with a Lehigh faculty or staff member who is passionate about introducing you to the life in the US and the Lehigh Valley by inviting you to their family events and activities.

  • IFF is currently available to first-year international undergraduate students only.
  • IFF does not provide off-campus housing. Students will be required to live in a residence hall on campus as a first year student.
