Katie was born and raised in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania where she spent the first 18 years of her life. After completing high school, she picked up and moved overseas – it was time to get out and explore the world! She began her college career studying French language and culture with students from all over the world. During this time, she had the chance to travel throughout Europe and engage with people from many different cultures and backgrounds.

Her undergraduate studies include 2 years of study at the Université Catholique in Lyon, France, 1 semester at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, and 2 years at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, USA where she earned a B.S. in International Management and French. In summer 2010, she earned her M.Ed. in Globalization and Educational Change from the Lehigh University College of Education's Comparative and International Education program.

She began working in the Lehigh Study Abroad Office as a student advisor for semester programs in 2007 and is currently the Director of Study Abroad.

Since she was 12 years old, Jodeen has had a very strong desire and interest to experience the world and learn about other cultures.  Her parents gave their family a wonderful gift at that time by hosting an exchange student from India. This decision had a huge impact on Jodeen's life and her passion for international experiences. She has had the privilege to visit India and to participate in a summer Rotary exchange to Italy while in high school.

During her college career at Lock Haven University, she earned a BA in International Studies and had the opportunity to study abroad in Japan and Mexico for two semesters.  For 14 years, she provided international travel and visa services to international companies and Lehigh University. Prior to becoming a Study Abroad Advisor, Jodeen served the Study Abroad Office as a Coordinator. Through working in the Study Abroad Office, she is able to live her dream of helping Lehigh students have an international experience. In 2015, she earned her M.Ed. in Globalization and Educational Change through Lehigh's College of Education.

When she is not working,  she enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering with the Girl Scouts, traveling, and riding her bike.
