International Students

To ensure a robust cultural and educational experience, we offer extensive support, services and programs for international students and scholars who come from around the world to study and work at Lehigh, including immigration services, orientation and counseling, cultural programs and English as a Second Language training.

International Students and Scholars

The Office of International Students and Scholars supports international students, scholars, and their families while they’re at Lehigh. They provide advice about immigration issues, relocating to the United States, working and paying taxes, and more. They also offer social and cultural programming for the entire Lehigh community.

English as a Second Language

English as a Second Language is an academic support program that prepares admitted Lehigh students from around the world to succeed in an American university environment. Programming includes StepUp, an intensive, non-credit English program, as well as a variety of credit-bearing English courses and tutoring.

Through the Fulbright Program, Lehigh hosts international graduate students and scholars. Fulbright is the U.S. government’s flagship international exchange program.

IFF, formerly known as CISH, is a community group that provides a “home away from home” for international students and scholars who come to study at Lehigh University from around the globe.
